The Secret Service is responding to a shooting near former President Donald Trump as he left his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, law enforcement sources reported.
“President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time,” said Trump spokesman Steven Cheung.
Officials have reportedly closed the roads to the facility as the investigation into the incident begins.

Two individuals exchanged gunfire outside the golf club but were apparently targeting each other, the New York Post reported.
“Sources said that Trump was never in danger and that the shooting happened in an area outside the club that is known for high crime,” The Post added.
